Friday Round Up

This week has been so busy with me finding my feet at my new job, that I'm afraid crafting has been put on temporary hold. I've got a feeling that I'll be doing most of my crafting at weekends now and gradually listing the items during the week.

This week, I have a couple of new memory wire bracelets in my shop.

This Pink and Purple Memory Wire Bracelet is made from a mix of glass beads with silver twisted bugle beads.

Something a little bit brighter, is this Blue and Yellow Memory Wire Bracelet which is a mix of smooth and textured glass pearls.

And finally, I've made another Rose Gold and Champagne Floral Cluster Bracelet

As a thank you to you all for putting up with my sporadic blogging recently, I'll like to offer 15% off any purchases you make. Just put 'blog follower' in the message to seller and I'll refund via Paypal :)

New job

So I've put my physio uniform back on this week for the first time in nearly 3 years. It's been gathering dust in the wardrobe since we moved, along with my very sensible black work shoes. I was more apprehensive that I thought I would be on Monday, even though my new colleagues are lovely and Monday was little more than an induction.

I'm going to be working Mondays, Wednesday and Thursdays, leaving the house at half 7 - the time I'm normally getting woken by the alarm :)

Today I treated my first patients and it was fantastic - how I've missed it. So looking forward to finding my feet and getting my own patient list.

Roll on tomorrow!

Front Page!

Thanks to the lovely HeartshapedCreations treasury, my Silver Pearls Memory Wire Bracelet made the Front Page of Etsy this morning! Of course I missed it, but thanks to the brilliant Vault on craftcult I've been able to see it.

That's my bracelet on the bottom right :)

Weekly Round Up

This has been a really busy week for me - I'm sure you've noticed that I've not managed to blog as regularly. I've had 4 big custom orders - a total of 30 Bubbles bracelets, or over 1000 pearls to wire wrap - in the past couple of weeks, as well as other custom orders.

So I've taken a break from Bubbles bracelets and have been working on some new memory wire bracelets.

This Purple and Teal Pearl Memory Wire bracelet is made from striking jewel coloured pearls.

This PInk, Yellow and Aqua Memory Wire bracelet is made from a mix of smooth and textured pearls in pastel colours.

And finally, an old favourite is back! The Plum Memory Wire Bracelet has been one of my best sellers, so fingers crossed it sells again this time :)

Next week I'm starting my job as a physiotherapist working with people with respiratory disease. It means quite a change, as I'll be working about an hours drive away from home 3 days a week, so please bear with me with me if the blogging falls by the way side till I get used to it!

Wish List

This weeks Wish List is aimed at the men in my life - my brother and Dad. Both their birthdays are in the next few weeks and I always find them really hard to buy for.
So I've been searching Etsy to see if there is anything that would suit them.

I found these Ace of Hearts Playing Cards Cufflinks from CrimsonKing that I know will appeal to my brother.

I know that this Board Stupid t shirt from TotalRadness would suit my brother perfectly.

My Dad is much for difficult to buy for. He's 70 in March and usually gets a shirt and jumper from me! However I think he'd like this Sheep Photograph by DreadSky as he's a sheep farmer and would appreciate the quirkiness!

Etsy Fee Calculator

Just when I think that I have all the Etsy tools I'll read something in the forums about another nifty tool that can help sellers.

This week I stumbled upon Etsy Fee Calculator

This is a great little tool that lets you see what the Etsy and Paypal fees will be for an item - so for all those organised people that keep track of these things and don't wait till their tax returns are due, I guess it could become addictive!

You simply type in 'Item Price' and immediately the 'Etsy fees' and 'Paypal fees' are worked out giving you the 'Total profit'.

Give it ago, its a great tool!

Wednesday Wish List

For my wish list this week I've been taking a look at photography on Etsy. I love photos and we have loads of them framed throughout our house.

I absolutely love this Moonlight photograph by Frances Photography

For something completely different, this fun photo of a Rollercoaster by EmmaJane

And finally, my beloved Cornwall captured on what looks like one of our holiday days last year! This beautiful Moody British Summer photo by PhotosWillFly captures Cornwall perfectly.

Haiti Fundraiser

A couple of weeks ago the lovely Mel from Kookie Designs contacted me to see if I would be interested in donating an item for a Charity Auction that she is organising to raise funds for Haiti. I was really happy to donate this Memory Wire Bracelet -

Mel has had some amazing beads, jewellery and cuddlies donated and they have been divided into 16 lots.

Please do check it out as all funds raised will be going to the Oxfam Haiti relief effort.

Weekly RoundUp

I can't believe it is Friday again! I am so glad to have the third and final Relevancy Thursday out of the way as well. I don't know how everyone else has found it, but no matter how much tweaking of titles and tags, my items are nowhere near page 1 of the listings.

Anyway, I've been working on some new bits and pieces this week.

The first is this Honey and Amber Cluster bracelet which is hasn't a pearl in sight :)

Next is this Plum Cluster Bracelet which is a mix of faceted glass beads and pearls.

And finally, definitely one of my new favourites, this Copper and Burnt Sienna Memory Wire Bracelet

cr8tivity

I came across a thread on the Etsy forum last night about a website called cr8tivity so I decided to check it out.

Basically just add your shop name to the white box and you can check out your shop hearts and item hearts similar to the way you can on craftcult. However it does a few other things too.

In the shop statistics bit, you can see at a glance a pie chart of your shop sections - 43% of my shop is made up of my Bubbles bracelets, 42% of my Memory Wire bracelets etc
And then in the pie chart immediately below you get to see at a glance what brings in the most views. I was surprised to find that my memory wire bracelets get the most views with 44% followed by the Bubbles bracelets with 42% of views.

But my favourite thing on the site is the option to add a 'Scrolling Side Bar Widget' to your blog - an alternative to the Etsy mini. Simply go to the 'Widget' tab and cut and paste the HTML code like so -

So give it a go!

Wednesday Wish List

We have been doing a bit of decorating recently and I am hoping in the near future that the downstairs cloakroom will be finished. Hubbie only started it 3 years ago, so I'm not getting too excited just yet!

I've started thinking about all the finishing touches and have been looking at Etsy for inspiration.

I saw this Aqua wood hook shelf by OldNewAgain and love the colour as well as the style.

Next I spotted these Bohemian Poppies Fabric bins by SewingMomma. I have a yearning to be organised and neat, though as the UK chat thread peeps are aware, it doesn't come easily to me :)

And finally I absolutely love this Blooming Cherry Tree Vinyl Wall Decal from styleywalls I can just see myself sitting under, that imagining it's spring time.
