Weekly Round Up

I've introduced a new range of bracelets to my shop this week. Staying with the pearl theme, the focal point of the bracelets are the clasp and charms or flowers, which dangle beside them. At the minute I've mainly used bridal colours (you cannot imagine how many hundreds of ivory/cream/white pearls I have!) but hope to expand the colour scheme soon. Any feedback welcome :)

Friday Round Up

This week I've been working on my custom orders, which are now finished (yay!) so as usual I feel I've had too little time to work on new designs.

I have managed to add a couple of new bracelets though.

The first one is this Mint Green Flowers and Golden Brown Pearl Cluster Bracelet

A similar flower and pearl combo is this Denim Blue and Black Floral Cluster Bracelet

I have a whole weekend to work on new items so hoping next week to have a few more new things to show off :)

Friday Round Up

This week I've been working on a big custom order for pearl cluster bracelets, necklaces and earrings so haven't had a lot of time to make other things. However, I have added a couple of new pearl bracelets to my Etsy shop

Royal Purple Pearl Cluster Bracelet

Grape Pearl Cluster Bracelet

I'm also participating in the Black Friday sale, so everything in my shop is 15% off. Prices have already been adjusted :)

Wedding Showcase

I thought all you Etsy sellers might be interested to find out how my wedding showcase went yesterday and whether I feel it was worth the $15.

First, my shop had a definite increase in shop views - 1100+ over the 24 hour period with a total of 13 new shop hearts.

The bracelet featured got 300+ new views and 5 new hearts.

I did alternate it for a period yesterday afternoon with this Rose Pink Swarovski Crystal and Pearl Cluster Bracelet

which got 50 views and 2 hearts.

Notice that I got no sales as a result of the showcase but I did get a custom request for 8 Bubbles bracelets as a direct result of the showcase. So if that all works out then I would say yes, the $15 was money well spent. I'll keep you posted!

Friday Round Up

This has been a busy old week again, both crafting wise and personally. I finished my last custom order for Bubbles bracelets and have had a couple more enquiries for bridesmaids. Off line the shop I supply rang to say that everything I had left in has sold. I make necklace and earring sets for there, which is a lovely change from wire wrapping pearls!

Online, I've added a new Ocean Bubbles Pearl Cluster Necklace which matches the Ocean Bubbles Bracelet in my Etsy shop.

I've also got a new Ivory and Gold Bubbles Bracelet with all those summer brides in mind!

And finally, I had a frantic weekend of memory wire making and ended up with several new designs in spring shades, including this striking Purple one.

Weekly RoundUp

I can't believe it is Friday again! I am so glad to have the third and final Relevancy Thursday out of the way as well. I don't know how everyone else has found it, but no matter how much tweaking of titles and tags, my items are nowhere near page 1 of the listings.

Anyway, I've been working on some new bits and pieces this week.

The first is this Honey and Amber Cluster bracelet which is hasn't a pearl in sight :)

Next is this Plum Cluster Bracelet which is a mix of faceted glass beads and pearls.

And finally, definitely one of my new favourites, this Copper and Burnt Sienna Memory Wire Bracelet

Friday Roundup

I can't believe it's Friday again already! I've been busy making new items this week but struggling to get them photographed - the old story I'm afraid. It seems as if it's been drizzling every day so I'm out in the rain trying to get pics taken as quickly as possible!

I did a lovely custom order this week when came about after I started a thread on Etsy about sororities. Someone had suggested I think about sororities colours for my bracelets. Now being from Northern Ireland and knowing next to nothing about them, I went to the best for advice - the Etsy forums. As a result I made some items in black and gold, which I learned are the colours for Kappa Alpha Theta and I liked them so much, I've made up a couple to sell again.

I've made up these Black and Gold Memory Wire bracelet

and Black and Gold Bubbles bracelet

I've also made this Light and Dark Blue Bubbles bracelet which is the colours for the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority

If any of my American followers who know an awful lot more about sororities than me, have any comments or advice about these, I'd love to hear them!

Wish List!

This week I've been working on more spring items, although it's difficult not to keep at the winter colours with the dismal weather we are having here!

I made this Rose, Green and Ivory Bubbles bracelet Unfortunately I listed it yesterday when there was all the discussion about the relevancy search being used on Etsy, so the title is a bit long and the views a bit low!

Next I've made a new Teal, Cerulean Blue and Silver Memory Wire Bracelet

I'm delighted that I got my second photo accepted onto Craftgawker It was this Paprika Pearl Bracelet

And finally, some personal news. I've got a new job! I have been lucky enough to get a part time respiratory physiotherapy post - I've only been waiting 2 and a half years so I'm a bit excited as you can imagine! I hand in my notice at my current post today and start on the 22nd February. It will probably mean less crafting time - or maybe it will just mean more productive crafting time as I'll have less time to to it in! Watch this space.

Friday Roundup

Since Christmas and the New Year I've been working with spring in mind. I'm not so sure that buyers are ready for the spring colours yet though, as I still seem to be selling the blacks, silver and browns of winter.

One of my new spring bracelets is this Hot Pink and Purple Memory Wire Bracelet

I've used the same pink pearls in this Hot Pink Bubbles Bracelet

And finally, something a little less vibrant! This Tropical Bubbles Pearl Bracelet

Weekly Roundup

I can't believe it's Friday and time for my weekly roundup again! Isn't time flying? This week has been a complete blur again. I had my best selling day on Etsy on Monday with 11 sales. I'd heard on the news that it is the UKs busiest online selling day and for me it turned out to be!

I'm afraid I've had no time to make any new bits this week. I'd committed myself to another craft fair last night and as usual, left it pretty much to the last minute before getting ready. Unfortunately it was a complete waste of time as it was one of the worst fairs I've done. Lots of people but no one buying very much. At least I have lots of stock if/when I do another one!

I just found out this morning that I'm in this Last deals of 2009 Gift Guide featuring this Blueberry Bubbles bracelet

This is the bracelet that made it onto the FP earlier this week, so maybe it will sell now :D

Weekly Roundup

November has been a crazy month for me. It has been my busiest month ever on Etsy, with me reaching 60 sales - double what I have last November. Some of those where to repeat buyers, which is always lovely as it means they like your work enough to come back! I've been pretty pleased with how I've managed to keep on top of things like packaging etc, which I remember running out of regularly last Christmas, and the only thing I've run out of is my Moo business cards. Thankfully I've got some old ones I'd ordered previously until my new order arrives.

To honest I've been so busy keeping up with orders and replacing items that have sold that I've had very little creative energy to come up with new ideas. However I have made 3 new Bubbles bracelets this week.

This first one, the Mint Chocolate Bubbles bracelet is a mix of dark chocolate brown and mint green pearls.

The other is the Silver and Blue Bubbles bracelet which is a combination of montana blue and silver pearls.

And finally, I have used rich dark teal pearls in this Teal Bubbles bracelet.

As a thank you to my blog followers, I'd like to offer you free shipping on any orders between now and Christmas. Just put 'blog follower' in the message to seller and I'll refund shipping through Paypal.

Weekly Roundup

This week has been less manic than the last couple thankfully. I did my last craft fair of the season - or so I thought! I've just heard about another one which is free of charge and only open to handmade items on the 10th December so I am planning on taking a table if I'm offered one.

On Etsy I've had a great week. My Red and Gold Christmas Bauble is in the Christmas Ornament Voter and I'm way behind, so if you haven't voted already, I'd really appreciate your vote :)

I've added a new Silver Bubbles Bracelet to my Etsy shop, which I think will be lovely for Christmas.

And finally, I'm offering free worldwide shipping this weekend in my Etsy shop, so if you've had your eye on something, this is the weekend to buy it!

Round Up

Apologies for my lack for blogging again this past week. I have been mega busy with the day job and preparing for craft fairs. My last fair is tomorrow night and I'll be glad to get it over with. Part of the reason is that my other 2 fairs have been pretty successful and I've more or less sold out of all my girls jewellery. That means instead of making new things for my shops, I've been making for the fairs instead.

I was delighted this week to find out that I'm a featured seller on Folksy I've noticed a big increase in views and have had a couple of sales on there - so thank you! I've added a couple of new things to my shop including this Lavender and Pink Memory Wire bracelet

On Etsy I was amazed to find myself in another Gift Guide. This one is the Gifts under $50 and features my Silver Pearls Memory Wire bracelet

And finally, a new Bubbles bracelet. This one is like Holly Berries in a lovely vibrant red.

Friday Roundup

We on the UK Chat Thread on the Etsy forums have decided on a mega promotion of 2 sellers a week, in hope of extra exposure and thus more sales. I've been lucky in that it's my turn. This promotion includes blog features, promo threads, twittering, Facebook promo and adding my work to treasuries. I've noticed a definate increase in views and hearts and am being featured in an incredible 9 treasuries! Thanks to the team, I'm enjoying my 15 minutes of fame :)

This week I've been working on something slightly different - pearl Christmas decorations. Several people have mentioned that my Bubbles bracelets would make nice Christmas decorations, so I decided to make some!

This is a traditional Red Berries Christmas Bauble which can be hung from your tree or used as a table decoration.

This one is aimed at the slightly less conventional colours scheme of Purple and Silver

I have a few more in my shop and am always open to suggestions for different colours and combinations.

And finally I added a new Raspberry Bubble Bracelet to my range in my Etsy shop.

Friday Roundup

I've had another good week on Etsy which was rounded off yesterday by my treasury making the front page!

This was a last minute poster sketch that I did using the search term UK, so I'm really pleased it made it to the FP! On a side note, is anyone else getting fed up with the huge volume of admin curated front page? It seems 9 times out of 10 when I log on that it's an admin FP, which I always think is a bit of a shame when there are so many gorgeous treasuries.

Anyway, I'd delighted that I've reached 250 sales on Etsy this week. My goal this year had been to reach 200 sales by the end of September, so I'm chuffed I've surpassed it.

I've got to say that I'm loving the rearrange your shop feature. I've spent far too much time playing about with it and it is a bit irritating to have to keep rearranging when I renew or list something new, but with practice I'm getting better.

On the crafting front I've made another pearl bracelet. This one is Metallic Blue

I've also been working on some new memory wire bracelets. This one I've called Irish Sea as the colours remind of the stormy seas around the North Coast.

I'm working on another custom order as well, so I'll let you see it once I've completed it

Friday Roundup

This week I woke to 3 sales on Monday morning, which was lovely! I finished my last custom order and I posted my first item to Israel. I decided this week to try and stock up my shop as much as possible as I am going to be extremely busy with the day job over the next few weeks and I doubt if I'll get as much done. I now have over 110 items in stock and have just bought some new pearls in more autumn colours.

This week I listed a few new memory wire bracelets.

This one in Olive and Gold is made from olive glass beads with antiqued gold spacers.

This Amber one is a bit bigger than I usually make. It has 6 coils but it reminds me of tribal bracelets and seems to work well with the extra coil.

I've still been making the pearl Bubbles bracelets though I'm trying to make a few with 2 or more colours now. This Black Cherry Bracelet is a mix of black and dark red pearls.

And finally I used dark purple and bubblegum pink together in this Candy Bubbles Bracelet

I'd really appreciate some feedback on the mixed colours in the Bubbles bracelets and if you have any ideas for autumn/fall mixes I'd love to hear them!

Also, I'm offering free wordlwide shipping this weekend in my Etsy shop.

Friday Roundup

The best thing to happen this week was for me to get my new camera up and running, so I could retake some of the worst pics of my jewellery. I discovered that with my hubbie 'rebuilding' the computer, that photoshop had been wiped off, so I uploaded Picasa which is free from Google. Picasa is a photo editing tool, which gives you the ability to lighten pics. This is invaluable when trying to get a white background and I'm pretty pleased with the results.

I've been having more success with my Bubbles bracelets this week and am working on an order for 6 Caviar Bracelets.

I've also been making some new memory wire bracelets, including this Cobalt blue one.

and something a little different, this Pink and Purple Pearl one.

Some of you who follow this blog may remember my post Creative Gene way back in April. Well, my sister Anne has started blogging, so for those of you who are interesed in the life of The Pineapple Tart check it out!
